The Lak language is one of 14 official languages of Dagestan, belongs to the Northeast Caucasian or Nakh-Daghestanian languages.

In form of green color book on cardboard. The size of certificate is ≈ 10 cm x 14,5 cm, without watermarks. On the front page is the Coat of arms of the USSR (The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics), all inscriptions are made in Russian language. The Birth certificate contains information about child's name, birth date, birth place, parents' names, their nationalities and a place of birth registration. All inscriptions on the certificate form are made in Russian and Lak languages. On the back side are specified: Goznak (State Insignia) and the year of issue.
